Debuting this Black Friday on the Kathleen & Co. webshop are their Crystal etched nail file and cuticle pusher. These are both chemically etched, so the surface will not wear away, they both come with a vinyl case, and best of all, they can be very easily sanitized!
I find that the file's grit is just right for both reducing the length of natural nails and for shaping them. If you look back at my review for the upcoming Polish Pickup, you can compare to the photo below to see the amount of length I took off with this file. It was easy to do and didn't take long. Plus the grit is fine enough that I don't have to bother with filing in one direction. The file will seal the nail nicely so there's no need to go over the free edge with a buffing file afterward. And the handle is purple, who doesn't love purple?
I also did my cuticle clean up with the new etched cuticle pusher from Kathleen & Co. It makes super quick work of it and no cuticle remover liquid is needed. I love the sharp point to get really close to the proximal nail fold to remove the tiny bits that like to cling there. If you're unfamilar with the difference between the proximal nail fold and cuticle, have a quick review of my "What is cuticle?" article, it may not be what you think! The tool is super fast and accurate with no mess or fuss. I love the ease of use and really, you can use it anywhere, like while waiting in the car for Starbucks drive through! If you haven't tried a tool like this, it is worth getting. Just be sure to be gentle to keep your proximal nail folds happy!
