Fall is the time of year where staying cozy is king, hayrides are a plenty, and pumpkin spice is life!
Join KBShimmer as they celebrate the change in seasons
with their nine-piece collection honoring the All The Fall Things collection and a brand new cuticle prodcut. These all launch October 1st, 2020 on the KBShimmer website.
Tri-Level cuticle oil - new product!
It contains three levels of moisture. This amazing cocktail for your nails and cuticles has three levels of moisture with oils and humectants to rehydrate your skin and nails.
- Glycerin
- Grape Seed Oil
- Sweet Almond Oil
- Mineral Oil
Directions:
Shake well before use. Apply to cuticles using the roller ball and massage the oil into your skin to help facilitate absorption. Repeat as needed and apply to bare nails between manicures. If polishing after use, wash and dry nails before applying polish. Some scents take longer to seperate after shaking, like Pink Sugar. Scented oils will also have a smaller layer, as the scent bonds with the orange and pink layers.
Very different in formula and feel from their cuticle oil pens. The Tri-Level product may feel tacky until fully absorbed. The product is best for those that need intense moisture, and KBShimmer does not recommend using after lotions or scrubs where there will already be oils on the skin.
My experience:
I found it to feel tacky at first and it went away after drying which, for me, was quite fast! My skin drinks this stuff in, and I swear I could hear my skin and nails making happy sounds after! I got the pink sugar scent, it has been an all time favorite perfume of mine since its launch by Aquolina 16 years ago and KBShimmer's version smells just like it!
Glazed & Confused- - a pale, gray-leaning crelly base swimming with color-shifting flakes of green, gold, red, orange and blue depending on viewing
angle. A hint of holo completes this shade.
What a nice neutral tone with a hint of glam! I'm wearing two coats here, and I'd say I have a fairly prominent nail line. I do poilsh a little heavy handed most of the time so if you paint thin, three coats may be needed.
Bittersweet Symphony - a taupe crelly base with ember-like shimmers, orange and crimson glitters.
When Christy made this polish, she was reminiscing the pops of bright berries blanketing the ground in the southern hills of Minnesota. I find it to be a really fun and unexpected combo of colors. I'm showing this in two coats with topcoat.
Slay Cozy - A burnt-orange hue loaded with linear holographic pigment.
From the small berries above to this full on Blazing Autumn maple leaf colored polish that will wow you with holo! I'm wearing one coat in the photos, formula was fantastic.
Quantum Leaf – A 2012 shade reformulated for 2020! A golden yellow crelly base that includes a mix of large, medium, and small glitters in orange, copper, gold and red. Gold shimmer adds sparkle and oversized red glitters mimic the leaves of the sugar maple.
Ya'll these polishes all go so well with each other. My mind is flooding with ideas of how to pair these up! Shown is two coats with topcoat. No glitter fishing or placement here, what you see is what I got! I also have to admit, when I see a yellow crelly or jelly I imagine my nail line with it on and cringe, but this one proved that feeling wrong! The coverage was really good, this is three coats with topcoat.
Thyme On My Hands - an herb-inspired olive green cream nail polish.
And what a lovely cream it is. Applied itself, no clean up needed. Thanks to the new brush and this polish formula. Quite perfect! If you love creams or olive, don't sleep on this one. Shown in two coats and it was glossy enough on its own, but I, nail blogger, have a topcoat habit I had to feed so these are shown with topcoat.
LV Nailart, both matte and glossy!
Which finish do you like best?
Fully Booked - A rich olive-green base loaded with linear holo pigment.
I'm here for this. Shown in two coats with topcoat, although it is quite opaque and may do well for a one and done in a pinch kind of mani.
Washed Up - a faded navy crelly with slight lavender hues with small copper and blue glitters.
I must admit, this was the first polish in this collection I swatched. Its deninm vibe and creaminess drew me in quick and the fact that it's been a while since we have seen tiny glitter crellies in the indie world. Shown in two buttery smooth coats with topcoat.
And some nail art done with rose gold metallic to match the tiny glitter!
Eyes On The Pies - a deep purple jelly filled with flakes that shift between pink, fuchsia and orange.
How can I put into words my facial expression when I took this one out of the box?! I was ooo-ing and ahhh-ing over it, eyes super wide open, moving the bottle to and from the light at different angles, I may have squealed and bounced some too. Yep, it's that good. Shown is two coats with topcoat.
Foreseeable Fuchsia - a fuchsia jelly base packed with blue shimmer and red and pink flakes.
Yes please. I know, I know.. Every single one of these polishes has impressed and wowed me and this one has too. I just don't think picking an ulitmate single favorite from this whole set is even possible. I mean, can you? Shown is two coats with topcoat.
Which is your fa....Oh who am I kidding? You're getting them all, aren't you? I mean, Christy keeps a good amount of inventory for a while so that enables you to order a just a few at a time if you want!
