Launching August 13, 11pm Central time is Lollipop Posse's HHC exclusive and limited edition polish. Inspired by a character named Desire from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" graphic novels.

I Make Things Want Things
A tinted holographic flakie base filled with red/gold/green shifting multichrome pigment and red/gold shifting ultra chameleon chrome flakes.

There's something so tranquil about the tone of this polish and then you can see the flake and sparkle dancing on your nails like fire!
The composition is spectacular and complex, a work of art in a bottle.





Shown is two coats with topcoat. The formula is great, and to be honest, Lollipop's polishes seem to have really good wear time for me. I've never been disappointed with them in this area.

Bright Purple with multichrome flakes, strong aurora shimmer and ultra holo glitter.

Loving the combination of the purple base with the coppery shifting flake and holo glitter. Shown is two coats with topcoat, formula was buttery and smooth to apply.






Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear
Fuchsia Jelly with iridescent flakies, iridescent microflakies and ultra holo glitter.

Super vibrant hot pink, the perfect shade for summer. Formula was buttery and smooth to apply, shown is two coats with topcoat. I wore this for several days and at removal had no issues with glitter and it did not stain the nail.

Polish Pickup: August 2019

The August Polish Pick Up theme is At The Carnival! Launch is 8/2 at 10am Central. All of the brands have great offerings this month, and I have four of those shades to share with you!




1850 Artisan Madame Lulu
a blue-leaning purple base with added dimension from copper and turquoise shimmers, and it is topped with beautiful iridescent flakes that shift through colors of emerald, orange, pink, purple, and gold. This slightly eerie and intriguing color is based on the Madame Lulu character from The Carnivorous Carnival, part of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Super shimmery! I wore two coats with topcoat, formula was good no issues.






KBShimmer Mirror Mirror In The Stall
Inspired by carnival mirror prizes from the 80’s and 90’s
Loaded with micro holo flakes, adding sparkle to this silvery shade. In lower light, the Aurora shimmer packed in this polish shows off shifts from gold, to pink, to green and more.

I did my best to capture it, but this really is one that needs to be seen in person. Don't miss it! Shown in two coats, no issues with formula.







Lollipop Posse Wonder For Reason
Inspiration: HBO’s “Carnivale”
A greyed out base with a slight blue tint, packed full of sepia-toned shimmer that shifts between orange, red, gold, and green.

Super shifty! Shown in two coats, slightly sheer. I enjoy the sheerness of this, I think it adds to the mystery of what color this polish is and gives it the ability to be used as a sort of smokescreen type topper as well!







Peachtree Polish Masked Parade
Inspired by a very embellished masked carnival/mardi gras character whose costume has shades of royal blue velveteen, chunky golden gemstones and trim.
a cobalt blue crelly base with holographic pigment and packed with red/copper/yellow UCC flakes.
Cap: 75

Beautiful bright blue squishy cream filled with colorful flake! Formula was fantastic, shown in two coats.

Great Lakes Lacquers: Polishing Poetic & Revivals

Great Lakes Lacquer is doing a rewind with heaps of bring backs to squash your lemmings! I've got several here, but there are many more being released. Check around the facebook fan group and other blogs for more!




Polishing Poetic Collection:
Releasing at 11am Central on the 12th. These will be available individually and as a set. They are almost all renamed with 'v2'; the only one not coming back is 'Leaves No Step Had Trodden Black'. It's being replaced with 'I Have Been Her Kind'.

I Have Been Her Kind:
Based on the poem 'Her Kind' by Anne Sexton. A blushing olive to lush green to sapphire to royal purple multichrome.










The Dying Of The Light v2:
Based on the poem 'Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night' by Dylan Thomas. An inky midnight blue filled with shifts of purple, red, orange, gold, and green.







Others in the collection that are releasing include: Ease One Life The Aching v2, I Carry Your Heart v2, In A Handful Of Dust v2, Like Air, I'll Rise v2, The Centre Cannot Hold v2, and The Tune Without The Words v2.

Along with those there are several others being re-released for a limited time based on votes in the fan group. They will be available until August 3rd at 8pm Central.

Alternative Lipstick v2:
Originally a fan group custom, this was the top vote to bring back. A purple based linear holo multichrome with shifts of green, teal, magenta and orange.









I Left My Heart In Houghton v2:
An old monthly limited edition from when Mariah was doing them every month, this is a periwinkle blue with holo micro flake and shimmery shifts of pink, gold, and green.






Lake Superior v2:
Part of the Great Ones Collections, this is a bright teal based multichrome with shifts of green, blue, purple, and orange.







Stuff & Thangs v2:
Another brought back from monthly limited editions, this was a tribute to Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead and the time he spent outside the prison walls. Doing Stuff. And Thangs. A dried blood red with orange to gold crystal flake and red to gold to green shimmer.





Washed In Magenta v2:
From the Sunset Dissected Collection, this is a magenta base packed with shimmery shifts of blue and purple and pink.






I am loving all of these and then some!
All swatches are shown in 2 coats, formula was good as usual with GLL polishes.
