Lollipop Posse: July 2019 PPU
July's PPU is a rewind! What that means this year is that brands are making polishes from past PPUs. Some will be in the PPU shop, and some will be in the brand's shop! Lollipop Posse Lacquer is doing both!
Available in the Polish Pickup Shop 7/05 - 7/08 will be 'Spirit of the Kohaku River 2.0'
no cap
Inspired by characters from the film "Spirited Away", it is the embodiment of Haku's true form in a nail polish bottle. At the end of the film, Chihiro helps Haku remember that before Yubaba took his name, he was the spirit of the Kohaku River.
This gorgeous shade is a blue crelly base with duochrome shimmer that shifts between green and blue, scattered holographic pigment, and a smattering of pink/gold/bronze/green multichrome flakes. Karen states there are not many noticeable differences between the original and the 2.0 version, although the holographic pigment used is slightly different.
Lollipop's second re-release, 'Your Name Belongs to Me Now 2.0'
no cap
Available at lollipopposselacquer.com from 7/14 - 7/31.
Inspired by Yubaba (also from "Spirited Away") and her name-stealing ways. This shade is a navy blue crelly that suspends red/green shifting shimmer, rust/red/green shifting multichrome pigment, and holographic flakies.
Please note that due to pigment changes by the manufacturer, the 2.0 version of this polish is visibly different from the original in several ways. The new shifting pigment causes the base to lean a darker shade of navy, but there is definitely more multichrome shift!
Both polishes are shown in two coats with topcoat and have fantastic formulas. I am so glad that we're all getting a second chance at polishes we missed, what will you be picking up?

Lollipop Posse is doing a very special launch with single pour batches and the orange group custom. All of them are limited and launch on June 15th, 2019, 9 PM EDT at https://lollipopposselacquer.com/ The single pours are not able to be recreated or restocked once they have sold out.
**NOTE** Orders placed after June 21st will be considered a pre-order and will be shipped after June 30th.
The result of an expensive, late night mixing accident in the Lollipop lab. The result is beautiful, though!
Seriously Fudged Up
a sky blue crelly based absolutely PACKED with pink shifting Aurora shimmer and scattered holographic pigment and microflakes.
You guys. Sakura blossoms against the blue sky in Japan. That is what this polish totally is. Two fantastic coats shown here with topcoat.
“And the grass was so green against my new clothes
And I did cartwheels in your honor
Dancing on tiptoes
My own secret ceremonials
Before the service began
In the graveyard doing handstands”
-Florence and the Machine, “Only if for a Night”
Secret Ceremonials
a jewel-toned, royal purple base filled with linear holographic pigment and accented with a multitude of color-shifting iridescent flakes.
The holo in this is delicious and opaque in one coat. I used two just in case. :)
“Water is my eye
Most faithful mirror
Fearless on my breath
Teardrop on the fire
Of a confession
Fearless on my breath”
-Massive Attack, “Teardrop”
Most Faithful Mirror
an aqua creme base accented with scattered holographic pigment, holographic flakes, several color-ways of shifting iridescent flakes, and green shifting Aurora shimmer.
Creamy holo? Yes please, with sugar (flake) on top! Two dreamy coats with topcoat. Quite opaque, may get away with one coat in a time pinch.
“Yeah, you don't know my mind
You don't know my kind
Dark necessities are part of my design
Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky
Dark necessities are part of my design”
-Red Hot Chili Peppers, “Dark Necessities”
Falling from the Sky
a silver ultra-holographic, packed with linear holo pigment, scattered holo pigment, holo microflakes, and orange-shifting iridescent flakes.
Cram packed with all things holo, Karen is bringing it! Two coats with topcoat shown.
“So take this moment Mary Jane and be selfish
Worry not about the cars that go by
'Cause all that matters Mary Jane is your freedom
So keep warm my dear, keep dry”
-Alanis Morissette, “Mary Jane”
...and be selfish
a muted grass green crelly filled with pink shifting Aurora shimmer and red/gold multichrome flakes.
I am obsessed. This green is the perfect shade and the coppery looking shift in the flake has me shook. Grab it if you can! Shown is two coats with topcoat.
“Can't keep my hands to myself
No matter how hard I'm trying to
I want you all to myself
You're metaphorical gin and juice
So come on, give me a taste
Of what it's like to be next to you
Won't let one drop go to waste
You're metaphorical gin and juice”
-Selena Gomez, “Hands to Myself”
The Orange You Glad to Be Here June group custom, available on the Lollipop site June 15th - 30th. Inspired by Karen's ultimate summer jam (well, one of them!).
Metaphorical Gin and Juice
a neon orange matte base packed with aqua shimmer and green/gold shifting iridescent flakes. Looks amazing in the original matte finish or with a glossy top coat! I'm showing it both ways below.
Please note, neon orange does not render accurately on any viewing device. This is super bright highlighter neon orange.
The formulas on all of these were smooth and easy to apply as per the norm with Lollipop's fantastic formulas.

My First Fluid Nail Art!
Guys!!! I am so excited to show you my very first fluid nail art!
I'm wearing this in a full mani, and below is my other hand (a rare site!). I didn't plan out the dominant colors for each hand, it just happened this way!
I used three of the KBShimmer Seas The Day pastel neon creams: Pink or Swim, Lime All Right, Harbor A Crush, and Eclipse (black cream).
They're so pretty, I had to!
Those tiny cells tho!
The cells are made by using a DIY spotted polish (shoutout to OPI for the original!).
I added silicone based hair serum (1/4 polish bottle) to clear polish (3/4 polish bottle) and shook it up well. I chose clear so that I could use it with alllllllllllll the polishes! I found the best method to get cells was to dot my mat with creams, add two dots of the clear silicone polish on top and then fold the mat once or twice. After they dried, I applied them like decals.
I learned the polish mixing method from Jenny Jones's facebook comment and the technique of folding the mat from Kyong.
To apply the decals, I sponged on some base coat so that it's kind of sticky, then smoothed the decal on over it. I use a tool like a cuticle pusher to cut the decal around the edge of the nail. It takes some patience and care, but it works. You can also melt away the edges with a brush dipped in pure acetone. The acetone can be fairly messy, just wipe the brush once over the edge, clean the brush on paper towel, redip in acetone and repeat. If you keep a clean brush it'll be less messy on the skin. After that's all done, I topcoated it to seal everything in.
I have found that my silicone polish needs to be shaken well right before use because it tends to separate. Results will vary depending on what you decide to use, I ended up using an old bottle of Wet n Wild Clear Nail Protector with Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine hair serum. I've heard of fluid art artists using tread mill/bike oil, OGX Coconut Milk hair serum, and a few others. Just make sure it has Dimethiconol in it.
What nail art are you planning with your Summer Neons?!
Comment below and tell me your ideas!
And please come back and drop a link or email a photo to me, I'd love to see.

KBShimmer: Seas The Day Collection
Join KBShimmer on a tropical journey, with seven sun bleached cream polishes in tropical hues. These bright polishes can be accented with one of three bold and bright multichrome flakie toppers for truly beach-ready nails!
The full ten piece collection launches on June 14th, 2019. As a bonus, from 06/14-06/20, each order of $50 or more will receive the beach ready holo drawstring bag!
All of the cream shades are shown in two coats and applied very nicely. This says a lot since they're pastel and neon, which many of you know that both pastels and neons are typically very streaky and pull. I found that a thin first coat followed by a thicker second coat worked perfectly.
Because neons are near impossible to shoot accurately, I've included a darkened photo of each shade to give a better idea of their brightness.
Pink Or Swim is a bright, not quite neon pink cream polish.
Guava Nice day is a faded neon coral cream.
Papaya Don’t Preach is a juicy bright orange cream.
Sand By Me is a lemon yellow cream with a hint of neon.
Lime All Right is a pale green cream with a brightness that makes it work on any skin tone.
Harbor A Crush is a soft blue cream inspired by ocean blue waters.
Bored Shorts is a faded orchid purple that leans pink.
I'm showing the three flake toppers next in one coat over three of the above cream shades. Each of them are topped with topcoat for extra shine.
Nauti Girl – A multichrome flake polish that shifts from a daring fuchsia to leaf green with shades of orange and gold.
Party Like A Guac Star - Like an avocado, bright shades of green, lime, soft pink and gold accent this flakie polish.
Off Tropic – mimics a rainbow of hues with multichrome flakes that shift with every change of viewing angle.
These polishes watermarble fairly well! I tested with just one nail as seen below.
