Black Phoenix Trading Post: American Gods
Black Phoenix Trading Post (BPTP) has conspired with Neil Gaiman to create a series based on American Gods, winner of the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, SFX Magazine and Bram Stoker Awards for Best Novel, and now a Starz television series.
This is a charitable, not-for-profit venture: proceeds from every single bottle go to the CBLDF, which works to preserve and protect the First Amendment rights of the comics community.
The nail polish collection is quite large (17), and I have four of those to share with you in this review. I believe Ted will be sending more of the collection to me as he replenishes stock. They're quite beautiful, and the formula for each of them is fantastic! Photos show two coats, however; the flakie topper is just one coat. They were all buttery smooth, easy to apply and fun to wear.
The Jeweled Spider
A base the color of sweet dark coffee with a shimmer that runs throughout this trickster, shifting from red to green.
Mad Sweeney
Four leaf clover green filled with gold shimmer and gold to bronze to silver mulitchromatic flake.
Bilquis
Vivid purple base with strong shifting purple-to-red shimmer.
Czernobog
Multichromatic flake that shifts from red to orange to gold seeped in dark steel micro flake.
(This is a “flake topper” that can be opaque in 3-4 thick coats.)

The above polishes and the rest of the collection are available now at the Black Phoenix Trading Post (BPTP) online shop.
Which of these four polishes is your favorite? Comment below to let me know!

Some awesome deep colors! I especially love the ones with flakies in them.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed trying the flake topper over the other three polishes, it looks great. The matte look is wicked cool, no?
