Happy Halloween ya'll!
Did you or your littles dress up and go out trick or treating? I'd love to hear about it!
I stayed home this year and spent some time with Jas. So I decided to post last year's Halloween manicure, since I didn't post it last year.
I purchased This is Halloween from Hit polish. It's a glitter topper that features several of my favorite colors - purple, green, black and orange - in a variety of sizes and shapes. I wore it over East Austin from Color Club.
This polish is no longer available but you can find other glitter toppers at Hit Polish's Etsy store plus she is running a clearance sale right now!
I hope you all stay(ed) safe and had a great holiday!

Ever After: Rocky Horror Revamp
The Rocky Horrer Picture Show is something that I have never seen live or on television. After swatching these, I feel compelled to watch it and familiarize where the inspirations came from because these are such beautiful polishes! I've worn two coats of each with top coat except where noted. The formulas on all of them are stellar, as we have come to expect from Ever After. I've used the descriptions as supplied by Rachel, from Ever After.
Creature of the night: gold shimmer holo with gold holo micro glitters
Dammit Janet: rich purple holo with gold holo micro glitter
(This one is a little on the sheer side and may need three coats depending on your polishing technique)
Science fiction, double feature: black jelly holo with gold and green gold holo micro glitters
Time warp: silver linear holo with platinum silver flakes
(I wore three coats to insure no VNL for photos, but you might get away with two heavier coats. I would bet this can be used as a top coat as well!)
Touch me! I wanna be dirty: red holo with gold holo
These polishes and many more are available now at the Ever After shop. Have you seen the RHPS? Which polishes are your favorites from these?

Painted Sabotage: Caution I Stop for Shinies
Caution I Stop for Shinies is a combination of super sparkly gold and pink glitters in clear base. I wore two coats and it was opaque all on its own. This can be worn in just one coat over a base color if you prefer. The formula was fantastic as well - not goopy or thick and glitter easily loaded onto the brush without digging or redipping.
I think will make a great holiday polish! What are you wearing for the holidays?
You can find this and many other beautiful polishes at the Painted Sabotage Etsy shop.

For Charity: October Quarterly Collaboration Box
The box is packed with carefully curated items from a variety of indie brands & companies. All proceeds from sales are donated to the charitable organization chosen for the quarter. The very first box is launching Saturday and the proceeds will be donated to BCRF. BCRF donates 91 cents of every dollar towards breast cancer research and awareness programs.
I've included descriptions/inspirations from each Artisan for their products and then added my comments afterward.
Storybook Scents (Wax Clamshell) - "Sammie Anne" My grandmother is one of those people that when she walks in the room you feel like you're home. She is amazing, strong, beautiful, an entrepreneur, and the most loving person one could hope to meet. This tart is my take on her all-time favorite scent, Flowerbomb. Notes include marshmallow, vanilla, jasmine, freesia, & woody musk. Sammie Anne has been in remission from stage 3 breast cancer for about 10 years now, and I couldn’t admire her more for her bravery during that time. We love you Grammie!
I'm unfamiliar with the Flowerbomb scent, but I think the wax melt smelled great! I used two cubes from the clamshell in my plate warmer and it was strong the first two days I melted it. After that, it gradually got more lightly scented. I enjoyed melting it and its bright pink color!
First Sunday (Breast Cancer Awareness Keychain) - A beautiful embroidered keychain, lovingly donated by Jana Oglesby from First Sunday.
Jana resides about 30 minutes from me, we've even met once in person to swap some wax and talk polish. She is a seamstress and sews up such creative cute items. The key chain is well made and durable and includes a snap in case you want to attach it to something different! Help raise awareness by rocking it on your keychain or back pack!
Daphine Polish (Nail Polish) - "Electric Rose" A neon rose pink packed with pink, peach, and gold micro shimmers. Two to three coats to opacity depending on nail length and application. This polish is dedicated to my mother, my aunts, and my grandmother, all strong Irish roses who were affected by breast cancer.
Pink and sparkly and such a great polish to help raise awareness for those around you! I wore three coats for the photos, the formula was smooth and easy to apply.
Creekside Naturals (Foot Balm) - "Grandma Mary Lou" The World's Best Grandma: my mother-in-law has been gone way too long. We miss her so. She loved the great outdoors "barefoot," so this balm is the perfect choice. She would have loved it! The scent is peppermint, which reminds us of the holiday she loved. My husband and I wish to thank you for supporting the cause ~ Jim & Cindee Smith
Handmade Natural Beauty (Foaming Sugar Scrub) - "Almond Vanilla Berry,” my specialty Pink Ribbon scent dedicated to women everywhere to promote breast cancer awareness and support brave breast cancer survivors.
Udder Joy (Goat Milk Soap) - "Bliss" I chose this fragrance as it's one of my mother's favorites. She is a survivor of breast cancer; it has been a long road, but after a double mastectomy, she has been cancer-free for two years. Bliss is a lovely blend of sweet cherry, toasted coconut, and crushed almond on a background of warm vanilla bean and creamed sugar.
The foot balm is absolutely wonderful. I've used it on my cuticles, elbows and feet for a week and I can certainly feel a difference. It's a heavy balm, but it doesn't feel as greasy or oily as most of them do. It seems to absorb fairly quickly and it smells wonderful. The natural butter scents come through with a slight hint of peppermint.
The sugar scrub is very scrubby and a little bit foamy. I tried it on my legs before shaving and they were smooth and soft as baby's cheek after!
The bar soap feels so soft and the foam from it is slightly pink! It leaves my skin feeling clean and the scent is soft and feminine. It goes really well with the scrub scent too!
In addition to all the above items, a list of coupon codes from many other independent artisan businesses will be enclosed in each box.
The box is launching Saturday October 24, at 11am Central time at the Storybook Scents online store.

Vivid Lacquer: VL014 Dragonflies
Wishing it was still spring or summer, I whisked myself away with this nailart instead. Gradient stamped butterflies from Vivid Lacquer plate VL014. I blended a couple of MDU polishes for the effect and stamped over Grace-full Sunlight and Starlight that was reviewed previously.

Grace-full: Mount Fang - stamped!
I was perusing through my stamping plates and spotted this cool hex design on Vivid Lacquer plate 02. So I stamped it using MDU silver over a perfectly charcoal Mount Fang from Grace-full.
It looks like placed glitter on the nail, doesn't it? I have an affinity for geometric designs, they're edgy and fun!
What do you think of geometric designs? Are they your favorites to stamp?

Sweet Heart Polish: Wonderous Collection
The Wonderous Collection from Sweet Heart polish is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. I knew this immediately upon opening the package - take a look!
How fun is that? It brought a smile to my face to see such thoughtful gifts and packaging for review polishes. I unwrapped the polishes and was even more happy because SPARKLES! Heaps of them beaming out of each bottle. What to wear first!?
I chose the brightest and most sparkly of the bunch to wear first, I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!
It's a vibrant juicy holo jelly packed full of shimmer and copper glitter. The color is not quite orange and definitely not yellow. It's namesake immediately reminded me of the white rabbit's pocket watch and how precious it was to him. This is, by far, my favorite fall polish and what a perfect name for it! I wore two coats and it was glossy on it's own but I added topcoat for quick drying.
Off With Her Head! Named after the Queen of Hearts most famous line. In the Disney animated feature Alice in Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts is the main antagonist. She's described as a foul-tempered monarch, that Carroll himself pictured as "a blind fury", and who is quick to decree death sentences at the slightest offense.
Perhaps this polish would brighten her day and attitude? It's such a pretty corally shade packed with holo, shimmer and glitter. I wore two coats with topcoat, the formula was very easy to apply and control on the nail which resulted in very little clean up.
She Must Be a Weed is the third holo, shimmery, glittery jelly polish in this set. A pretty shade of green with a light bit of blue makes this one kind of sea foamy. Thinking about this and the other two shades above, I realized they all represent the changing colors of leaves as we approach the fall season. Quite a clever mini collection within a collection, eh? I wore three coats of this one with top coat.
"One Lump or Two?," the Dormouse offered. The line from this scene at the mad tea party really suits this polish in that the micro flakes look like sparkling sugar crystals. I wore three coats with topcoat for the photos. The formula was smooth and easy to control, this one is best applied in as few brush strokes as possible as it tends to start drying fairly quick.
The large blue Caterpillar raised his head from his hookah and peered at her. "Who R U?" he asked through a cloud of smoke. In the Disney cartoon the puffs of smoke are all different colors and shaped like letters or symbols. Who R U? is such a fun representation of this scene with it's colorful flakies and violet jelly finish. I layered this on top of One Lump or Two? on my thumbnail and love the depth that it adds! If you get these, definitely try that. I wore three coats with topcoat. The formula was smooth and easy to use.
Lastly is a special collection exclusive that is included only if you purchase the full collection. She's Stark Raving Matte is an edgy gunmetal grey shimmer with purple flecks throughout. I wore two coats alone in the first three images and then added topcoat in the last three.
With Topcoat:
And just in case you're not yet convinced, I've created a gradient with I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! and Off With Her Head! I think it turned out beautifully and it was quite easy to do. I used I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! as the base color and when it was dried well, I sponged two coats of Off With Her Head on the tips, moving the sponge around a little bit to give the illusion of blending with I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! It took very little time to do and had a nice result.
The full Wonderous collection will be available Friday October 16, at 11am Central time at the Sweet Heart Polish online store.
