Soapbox Co. Exclusive from Urban Lacquer: Quantum Foam

I recently received an exclusive polish from Urban Lacquer to swatch and review for one of her vendors, The Soapbox Company. The press release is in the quotebox, and my thoughts after the photos. :)

Quantum Foam, a Soapbox Company exclusive, is an unworldly, soft green linear holo polish, which will make your tips glow! Full opacity is achieved in 2 coats, and looks fabulous alone, or with a glitter topper. Experience luminescent nails with this limited edition polish!

"Empty space—that is, space that contains nothing—no energy, no charge, no matter, nothing—is filled with a writhing, active population of virtual particles that physicists call “the quantum foam,” with bubbles appearing and popping in wild abandon. At the subatomic level, space is never truly empty." -- Don Lincoln, Quantum Foam, Virtual Particles, and Other Curiosities

A very pretty medium shade of green, Quantum Foam, sparkles like a glittery rainbow in the sun! The shade is cool leaning but then there's that warm rainbowy goodness - great for any skin tone! As with all Urban Lacquer polishes that I've used, this one was also super easy to apply. The holo particles in this polish are linear which means you can see a stripe or line of each color of the rainbow right on your nail! Now if only I could find that pot of gold at the end of it! Take a look!

These photos were taken under indoor lighting, which says a lot for the holo in this polish. If you've ever tried to see holo indoors, you know what I'm talking about. :)
In the sunlight (as mentioned above) it is more vibrant, but sunlit photos are not an option for me since I shoot in the evening after work.

Quantum Foam will be available only at The Soapbox Company beginning August 1 at 12:00pm.

Jindie Nails: Summer Collection

Jindie Nails sent 5 of the 11 Summer polishes to me for review and I have to say she has outdone herself with this collection! I love each one of them for different reasons and I think you will too!

Left to Right: Sparkle On the Vine, Dancing With The Stars, Hex On The Beach, Quit Staring At My Melons, A History of Violets
I've put the shop's description in parenthesis after each photo set for your convenience.

A History of Violets
is a beautiful purpley glitter mix. I wore one coat over AEngland Sleeping Palace, together they're the perfect purple combo! Purple is my favorite color, so I was thrilled she sent this one to me to try out. I hope you love it as much as I do!

mix of white, periwinkle, lilac, lavender, wine, opaque matte burgundy, opaque matte light purple, opaque matte dark purple hex, dots, stars, short bars (just a few). squares and lots and lots of purple and silver shimmer throughout (Mod Quad Set)

Hex On The Beach is one of those crelly polishes that Jindie is so well known for creating. She has a great formula and just the right amount of glitter for a nice crelly sandwich. I used two coats over Sally Hansen Whirlwind White for these photos.

white crelly base with matte, opaque baby pink, peach, red, orange, pastel yellow and canary yellow dots, diamonds & hex. This also has metallic copper & light pink dots & hex throughout plus a gorgeous peach shimmer (Summer Chic Set)

Sparkle On the Vine has to be one of my favorites - yep I have more than one favorite here! I love it because of how it sparkles and flashes and those HUGE holo dots!!! I wore this over an unreleased green polish from Urban Lacquer (sneak peek!). The glitter's color combo is gorgeous! I have always thought green, purple and pink go very well together. Wouldn't you agree?

lilac metallic extra large dots, lilac holographic large dots, opaque kelly green dots, opaque baby pink dots, violet metallic medium dots, large magenta metallic squares, teal diamonds, small lilac holographic dots & more. This polish has a clear base meant for layering (Mod Quad Set)

Dancing With The Stars is my other favorite. Who doesn't like black, white and hot pink together? How about if I add Sally Hansen Blue Me Away under it? I think its absolutely stunning and is so versatile that it would work well over green, purple, or orange - maybe even red! Or you could go with grey or a deep charcoaly not quite black color. Unlimited combo ideas here, tons of shapes and big chunky glitters - How could I not LOVE this?!

opaque matte baby pink, neon pink, white, matte opaque gray, black, silver holographic and matte opaque white diamonds, stars, dots, short bars (just a few), hex and a few hearts and butterflies. It has neon pink stars, hearts and butterflies! (Mod Quad Set)

Quit Staring At My Melons is one of those polishes that when you see the photo of the bottle its an instant,"oooo I MUST have that one!" kind of feeling. I wore one coat over Elevation Wuyi Mountain, a bright grassy green with shimmer. I think they complement each other really well because the green kinda reminds me of the rind and the glitter of watermelons! And the name!! I can imagine a conversation going something like this:
"Hey nice nail polish! What is it?"
"Thanks, Quit Staring At My Melons!"
"I wasn't, what's the name of it?"
"Quit Staring At My Melons!"

That convo could go on for days like this!

Matte kelly green, barbie pink, matte gray dots, watermelon pink & black dots plus smaller metallic light green and light pink dots. Also has small and extra large matte black dots and small micro hex in matte kelly green, matte gray, barbie pink, black, watermelon pink. The base is a clear base with bits of real silver flakes and intense green shimmer (Summer Chic Set)

And because I loved it so much, I took a macro of this nail where the heart landed right in the middle. I didn't plan this or move it around! I love happy accidents and wanted to share a better photo of it with you. :)

The Summer 11 collection can be purchased at Jindienails.com and you can follow Jindie for updates on Facebook. The most recent restock update is as follows: "www.jindienails.com will be restocked again in the next 2 weeks along with the launch of the remaining new summer colors. "

Me.Lissa Lacquer: Girls Night Out

Let's get this party started!! -flips on disco ball and a dancey beat- -waggles around-
Ok ok, I may not be the greatest party hostess, but this polish will have you dancing to your own beat!

Dressing up for the big "Girl's Night Out" with a sexy black dress, pink shoes and handbag, diamond jewelry and skin sprayed with lots of rainbowy glitter!
I wasn't expecting so much shine and sparkle with this polish because in the bottle it mostly looked like matte glitter. Its definitely very sparkly and fun!
I wore two coats over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Girl's Night Out: holographic red, black and pink, neon pink and some silver diamond glitter, in a clear base.

Carpoolin' with my "Party People" is so much fun on the way to the venue. Will it be a concert? Will it be a club? Or maybe dinner and a shopping trip!
I wore two to three coats for a gorgeous glitter jelly sandwich.

Party People: neon green, blue bar glitter, and metallic red, yellow, blue, orange, and purple glitter in a purple base.

Woohoo!! A night out on the town! I'll have another, barkeep! One more! Yes another please! Woah "Too Many Shots!" Bring Bling it on!
Definitely a favorite of this collection, it has so much sparkle especially outside in the sunlight. I wore two coats over Zoya Blu.

Too Many Shots: red, pink, yellow, green, silver blue holographic, purple holographic, red holographic, pink holographic, and neon blue shredded glitters in an iridescent base. There are over 20 different glitters in this polish!

Let's "Dance on the Tabletops!" -hops up on a table and lets loose- Wooooo!!! -tosses confetti-
Such a pretty color combo, I did swish the brush around the bottle a few extra times to get the larger pink pieces out, but it wasn't difficult or time consuming. I wore this over an unnamed Cosmetic Arts lime green cream.

Dance On The Tabletops: lilac, lavender, holographic lavender and black , and neon pink and blue glitters in a clear base.

What a night! It's all a "Blur" now! More wine please? Time to head on home I think!
Such a gorgeous glitter topper! I wore two coats over Dance Legend Prism #4 Optical Illusion.

Blur: red, hot pink, silver and charcoal holographic glitters.

"Blacked Out" Yep, it happens to the best of us! Good thing we went home, amirite?
I wore two coats of Blacked out over A England's Fated Prince.

Blacked Out: grey-black shimmer base with black and charcoal holographic glitters.

Each Me.Lissa Lacquer was easy to apply, and I loved all the color combos she came up with for this collection. You can get yours at the Me.Lissa Etsy shop and don't forget to follow them on Facebook!

Happy Button Soap Co: Sweet Snuggles Scrub

A little something different for you all today - its been a long time since I have blogged about my other vice: Bath and Body!

I recently entered a contest over at the Happy Button Soap Company facebook page to create a scent for an upcoming customer inspired scrub scent trio.
My entry was Sweet Snuggles - a mix of Lavender, Pink Sugar, White Chocolate and a hint of Coconut. All of these are my favorite fragrances on their own and I thought they'd be awesome all blended together! I often do layer these together from the perfumes that I have in my stash. Yep, I've got a huuuuge perfume stash too, but that's another story! I came up with the name because I remembered Bree's sweet dog, Koumpi, and the Sunday morning snuggles she gets from him. I was one of the lucky winners and Bree sent a full sized scrub to me in the scent that I created!

Her packaging has only gotten more colorful since I last ordered! I don't know if she remembered that I love purple and green or if it was coincidence, but she not only wrapped it in purple tissue, the scrub itself is a light lavender color topped with hot pink sugar!

She even included a scrub sample with my free scrub! Its called Alice and has a very fresh and somewhat nostalgic scent to me. I can't quite put my finger on where I've smelled something similar before, but I love it!

I took this photo a while back, but her scrubs still foam up like this - its insanely gorgeous foam!

I also love her shampoo and original conditioner, it is one of the few sets that I don't have an allergic reaction to when I use them and they're safe for color treated hair! I also love her solid perfumes and body cream and lip balms and - well I don't think she makes a product that I don't love!

The other two winning scents in the trio were:
Blueberry Basil Jam - Blueberries, white sugar, and a touch of sweet basil (created by Julienne Marie)
Spicey Earth - Vetiver and cinnamon (created by Karin J Leary)

All three scents are available in her shop so why don't ya show her some love and give her lil shop a visit after July 7th! (she's on vacation)
Her items are pre made and she ships super fast, sometimes the same day!
